Welcome to Calvary Golf Classic 2012

Arnold Palmer said, “I have a tip that can take five strokes off anyone’s golf game. It’s called an eraser.” Well, that probably wouldn’t work as a “life motto”, but our CM leadership team came up with 5 standards we sincerely believe will help us to manage, and mature in, all areas of our lives: Instruction, Participation, Character, Stewardship, and Relationship. These ideals apply to each and every one of our athletes as they participate from day to day in various school sports programs. The funds raised at this year’s golf tournament will benefit the school wide athletic program. We have found that participation in athletics helps to develop the whole child, and currently, two-thirds of our student body is involved in sports. We believe that athletics is an extension and complement of the classroom. Our coaches then can train each individual athlete to exemplify Jesus through: Instruction, Participation, Character, Stewardship, and Relationship. I think P.G. Wodehouse was right when he said, “To find a man’s true character, play golf with him.” See you on the course!
